Hanna.
During a media lesson we learnt about diegetic and non diegetic sound. We then watched a clip from a movie called Hanna, and then seperated diegetic and non-diegetic sounds.
Diegetic sounds- sounds that the actors in the scene hear. Here are some from Hanna:
- Footsteps, giving a feeling of being followed
- Doors closing, making us feel like Hanna is trapped making her escape even more exciting and impressive.
- There is an elogated sound of the door handle spinning round, this cretes suspense as we know this is probably the key to her escape
- Her loud breathing is in time with the music, the fact that she is out of breath trying to escape makes us feel sorry for her, as we then know how much she wants to get out.
- Neck breaking, makes it more dramatic
- Alarm noises, this creates a feeling of chaos and panick
- The air release when she opens the trap door the music and stops all the music and chaos, telling us that she is now free and they can no longer get her.
- There are background drum sounds when she is running, this gives a cool feel. This goes in hand with the action.
- There a lazer sounds this gives it a modern atmosphere.
- There is a more prominent beat towards the end, creating suspense as she gets closer to escaping.
- When the beat stops, she has opened the hatch, signifying her escape
